Saed Arekat is the Group Chief Financial Officer of Bloom Holding. He has extensive experience in the real estate investment and development and assets management as well as hospitality and education sectors. Saed has broad responsibilities including strategic and business planning, corporate finance, funding and treasury, financial planning and analysis, and financial reporting. In addition to leading the group procurements and IT functions.

Saed is a member of the Executive Committees, plays a pivotal role as a key member of the Executive Management Team of Bloom Holding, and has a leading role in all aspects of the development and execution of business strategies and transformation plans to ensure long-term sustainable growth and value creation for Bloom Holding Group.

Concurrently Saed is a board of governors’ member of Brighton College Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and Dubai in addition to Dwight Dubai school.

Prior to joining Bloom in 2007, Saed was an Executive Manager/Director at Ernst & Young Baghdad, Iraq and held different senior positions at Ernst & Young, Arthur Andersen and KPMG in Jordan and Palestine. Saed involvement in a variety of service lines and serving wide range of local and international customers, provided him with an extensive exposure across different industries globally.

Saed holds an MBA from Alliance Manchester Business School. His vast professional experience has been endorsed with prestigious certificates he has attained such as the Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) and a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) from USA. Further, Saed has recently completed the Oxford High Performance Leadership Programme and Oxford Real Estate Programme at the University of Oxford – Saïd Business School.

Mohammed Alfalasi is the Director of Government Relations for Bloom Holding. As the Director, Mr. Alfalasi is responsible for liaising with all UAE government entities on projects and developments, human resources, land acquisition, Bloom Holding businesses and subsidiaries.

Prior to joining Bloom Holding, Mr. Alfalasi worked for various companies in the region for almost a decade. In these roles, he worked closely with Bloom Holding, assisting on various issues and focusing on building a strong link with government authorities.

Before that, Mr. Alfalasi spent 6 years at Diar Properties as a Business Development Manager and worked for almost one year as a Protocol and Etiquette of Government Relations Manager in Dubai. Mr. Alfalasi holds a Diploma in Accounting.

Nilay Özral joined Bloom Education in January 2019 as the Chief Executive Officer. Nilay is responsible for the development of Bloom Education’s international schools and nursery portfolio, which includes Brighton College from the UK, Dwight School from New York, and the Singaporean nursery brand, MindChamps. She is also responsible for the management and operations of the Charter schools awarded to Bloom Education by Abu Dhabi’s Department of Education.

Prior to joining Bloom Education, Nilay was the CEO of Aldar Academies from 2014, where she was responsible for developing their educational portfolio from 1,200 students to over 16,000 students during her eight year tenure. In addition to overseeing Aldar Academies, during 2010 – 2013, Nilay successfully managed a number of Aldar's major assets, including the final delivery and operations of the seven hotels on Yas Island, Yas and Al Bandar Marinas, Ferrari World Abu Dhabi and Yas Links Golf Club. Before that, she was the Strategic Planning Director at Sorouh.

Nilay has 17 years of strategic management and leadership experience in some of the world’s leading multinational companies.

Nilay holds an MBA from Manchester Business School and The University of Texas at Austin.

Jihad Ibrahim has over 20 years of procurement experience and is now working as the Group Director of Procurement at Bloom Holding, where he is responsible for procurement across the whole organization. Here, he oversees and manages procurement by leading its development, implementation and strategies within Bloom Holding.

Jihad holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting and began his career as a purchasing officer for Jordan American Food Co in Amman. During his time in Jordan, Jihad assisted in building and structuring the purchasing department system for Jordan American Food Co’s sister companies, Amman Fast Food Co and Jordan Global Food Distribution. After 6 years in Amman, Jihad made the transition over to the United Arab Emirates where he worked for National Holding as the Group Head of Procurement.

Having grown up in the UAE, Mustafa Saaid briefly moved to Montreal in Canada to complete his B.Eng. in Civil engineering from McGill University, before returning to the UAE to begin his career.

A civil engineer by profession with over 24 years’ experience in the fields of construction, project management and masterplan development. Mustafa has worked for major engineering and project management consultants like WS Atkins as the Country Project Manager for Major Projects in Turkey, as well as being Project Manager for Mace International Ltd in Dubai.

Moving from his experience in construction and project management consultancy, he moved to the development side of the business where he spent the last 12 years working for Al Barari Firm Management LLC in Dubai as the Development and Projects Director.

Here, Mustafa had an influential role in the Al Barari masterplan, both managing and developing it from greenfield land to a fully developed landscape of residential and mixed-use communities. Throughout the period he spent with Al Barari, he led and managed all the projects from inception to design including construction.

Mustafa is fluent in English, Arabic and Turkish and joins Bloom as the Head of Development and Construction.

Hazem Alloush is the Head of Internal Audit at Bloom Holding. He is responsible for overseeing and improving the effectiveness of Bloom Holding’s internal control environment, risk management and corporate governance. He is also responsible for developing comprehensive internal audit plans in line with Bloom Holding’s strategy.

Prior to joining Bloom Holding, Mr. Alloush was a Risk Advisory Manager at Deloitte, and an Internal Audit Consultant at PwC.
Mr. Alloush holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the Hashemite University in Jordan. He has also obtained his Certified Public Accountant certificate from the state of New Hampshire, USA. He is also a Certified Fraud Examiner by the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.

Mohamed is a certified professional and a member of the Canadian Professional Sales Association. With 30 years of experience, Mohamed built his foundation of knowledge in Sales and Marketing operations in both Bahrain and KSA, with 20 years based here in the UAE.

Hegazi has been a part of the evolution of real estate in Dubai from the outset. He has led teams as Head of Sales at Damac Properties and at First Group International, where he drove sales strategies with fully-fledged sales arms and solid executional plans, powerfully impacting the real estate market.

As the Head of Sales for Bloom Properties, Mohamed leads his elite team by formulating new ways to drive overall sales. He is focused on building solid relationships between Bloom Properties and real estate brokers, as well as business associates across the region.

Mubarik has over 15 years of IT experience from working for companies across multiple industry sectors; including real estate, construction, finance, education, hospitality, facilities management, oil and gas and retail.

Prior to joining Bloom Holding, Mubarik was the Group Head of IT for Petroserv. During his time there he was responsible for overseeing the IT Department for the group.

Mubarik also participates as a keynote speaker at Chief Information Officer (CIO) events and is also a content provider to IT media publications on topics such as digital transformation, security, technology start-ups and entrepreneurial ecosystems. Mubarik holds an MBA from the University of Cambridge Judge Business School, a BSc (Hons) Computer Science from Anglia Ruskin University and is a Fellow of the British Computer Society.

Evie manages Property Management as well as bfm, the Facilities Management arm of Bloom Holding.

A dynamic leader with extensive experience in managing multicultural businesses in construction, facilities maintenance, manufacturing and professional services industries. Over the years, she has developed the ability to implement an industry-disruptive business strategy designed to create new markets, whilst also aligning her workforce to be able to implement it. She is passionate about driving performance improvement and believes there is great value in a long-term view of sustainable, profitable growth.

As CEO, General Manager and Corporate Director, Evie has turned around unprofitable businesses and reinvented the business models for those not in tune with an ever-evolving industry. Previously, Evie worked for multinationals such as Ernst & Young and Mace Group in the United Kingdom, where she was awarded as one of the ‘Construction Industry's Future Leaders’. She is currently the President of over 2,000 London Business School Alumni in the Middle East and her passion for creating value through synergies has led her to be recognised for her ‘Outstanding Leadership and Contribution’ by the school body.

Evie is an MBA graduate of London Business School (LBS), studied negotiations at Harvard Business School, Advanced Architecture & Computation at MSc level at Bartlett, University College London (UCL) and is a BA(Hons) Architecture

Anwar Kahwagi is the General Manager of Bloom Landscape LLC, a subsidiary of Bloom Holding. Anwar is responsible for developing the business within BLS, setting the budgets, the vision, mission and targets, overlooking the day to day operations in line with Bloom Holding’s overall strategy and goals.

With over 24 years of experience in landscaping, irrigation, utilities and site development, Anwar utilized his skills as an analytical decision-maker with a proven track record of increasing productivity and turning around difficult situations.

A key focus for Anwar is emerging technologies and the role that they can play in ensuring a sustainable landscape industry that can compete on the global stage.

Prior to joining Bloom Holding, Mr. Kahwagi was the COO for Al Jurf Development Projects and prior to that the General Manager of Al Ryum General Contracting.

Mr. Kahwagi obtained his Master of Science degree in Soils and Irrigation from The University of Jordan in 1995.

Giovanni Carpenzano is an attorney and investment professional with over 20 years of strategy and management experience in corporate finance, M&A, private equity, banking and finance, Islamic finance and turnaround management.

Before his General Counsel role at Bloom Holding, Giovanni worked for Dubai Economic Council as an Investment Director. He also worked for Zabeel Investments where he ran the legal department and advised the board of directors on the restructuring of the holding company. Within the region, Giovanni has also led the legal department of Turkcapital (a subsidiary of Kuwait Finance House), and assisted the business development teams of Turkapital in Kuwait, Turkey, Russia and Azerbaijan. Prior to this, he had the position of Senior Legal Counsel for Agility in Kuwait, where he had extensive exposure to international corporate and commercial transactions across Europe, North America and the Middle East.

Giovanni started off his professional career working for Allen & Overy in Italy and General Electric in Paris, Vienna and Munich as Legal Counsel, where he advised on major M&A transactions and restructurings.
