Our Leadership Team
Saed Arekat has served as the Chief Financial Officer of Bloom Holding since 2007.
Using 10 years of extensive experience to guide him, Arekat now plays a pivotal role on the Executive Management Team of Bloom, leading the Corporate Finance Strategy and overseeing the Finance function for the Group including: budgeting & planning; treasury; control & cost synergies; reporting & consolidation; investor relations; corporate accounts & Finance ERP applications.
Prior to joining Bloom, Arekat served as Executive Manager/Director at Ernst & Young Baghdad, Iraq. Arekat acted as Senior Manager at Ernst & Young in the Assurance and Advisory Business Services department in the Amman and Ramallah Offices and was a Chief Audit Executive at Palestine Telecommunications Co. Group.
Arekat holds an MBA from Manchester Business School in the United Kingdom and other prestigious certificates such as a Certification in Control/ Risk Self-Assessment (CCSA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) and a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
Hazem Alloush is the Head of Internal Audit at Bloom Holding. He is responsible for overseeing and improving the effectiveness of Bloom Holding’s internal control environment, risk management and corporate governance. He is also responsible for developing comprehensive internal audit plans in line with Bloom Holding’s strategy.
Prior to joining Bloom Holding, Mr. Alloush was a Risk Advisory Manager at Deloitte, and an Internal Audit Consultant at PWC.
Mr. Alloush holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the Hashemite University in Jordan. He has also obtained his Certified Public Accountant certificate from the state of New Hampshire, USA. He is also a Certified Fraud Examiner by the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.
Jeremy Lester is the Acting Chief Executive Officer of Bloom Holding, and as the Executive Director of its Board. Mr. Lester is wholly responsible for operations across all Bloom Holding companies, including Real Estate, Education, Hospitality and Design and Management Services.
Mr. Lester has 35 years of leadership experience in some of the world’s leading blue-chip companies, of which 25 years is in the international real estate sector.
He has been working in the Middle East and Asia for nearly 14 years, where he has led international expansion for several different companies through organic growth, M&A and joint ventures.
Prior to joining Bloom Holding, Mr. Lester was the CEO of Emaar International where he was responsible for the development and growth of Emaar’s international business in several high growth markets including Egypt, Jordan, India, Lebanon, Morocco, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Turkey.
Before that he spent a decade at JLL, where he played a critical role in driving the firm’s growth in real estate sector.
Obaid Al Shuweihi joined Bloom in 2008. Today, as Director of Government Relations at Bloom, he is responsible for liaising with all UAE government entities on projects and developments, human resources, land acquisition, Bloom businesses and subsidiaries.
Prior to Bloom, Al Shuweihi was a member of the UAE Armed Forces for 16 years, where he oversaw government relations pertaining to Armed Forces.
Al Shuweihi has attained a Bachelors of Law from Dubai Police Academy and a Lawyers Diploma from Ministry of Justice. He also serves as a Certified Arbitrator specialised in Civil and Commercial Law in the GCC Commercial Arbitration Centre.
